Ogliastra cuisine
Our cuisine is based on a
combination of land and sea ingredients; it is a cuisine
rich in the typical Mediterranean flavours, not
sophisticated or high but absolutely genuine and tasty.
We use fresh tomatoes and extra-virgin olive oil
extensively while animal fat, like butter, is almost
absent.
Once here, you cannot
help tasting the best dishes of our tradition:
culurgionis – home made, hand knit ravioli with potatoes
and cheese filling; spit-roasted pork, goat and lamb;
sebadas, traditional hot fried dessert with cheese
filling and honey topping.
All our food will taste
delicious with an appropriate excellent wine: no doubt
the king of Ogliastra wines is Cannonau but we have been
long making a number of other great white, red, dessert
and sparkling wines. All of them are top quality,
fragrant, full-bodied and …. full of energy! |
